2018 Barbera

The wine is garnet red in color and dense. The aroma is intense, very fine and rich. We can detect the aroma of overripe red fruits and berries (sour cherry, blackberry, blueberry, prunes, dried fig, raisins, jam). In the mouth the wine is dry, warm and soft, fairly fresh, tannic and tasty, balanced, intense, elegant and very persistent, harmonious, strong and mature.

Food pairing: duck pate, venison,  red meat, lard, mature and spicy cheeses. Aging potential: The wine is mature and suitable for consumption, but will gain in harmony and drinkability over time, and will probably reach its peak at the age of 10 years.

Vinification

Vinification: fermentation with maceration for 14 days, gentle pressing and transfer to oak barrels – barriques

Maturation: maturation in barrels for 24 months
