Rooted in marl, shaped by bora
About us
Four generations - one story
We are the third — and soon the fourth — generation of an independent family farm. We cultivate 8 hectares of organic vineyards on sunny, bora-breeze-ventilated terraces above Vipava. The grapes are picked by hand, the yields are small and deliberate. The wine ferments spontaneously, matures in oak barrels and goes into the bottle unfiltered — as nature intended.
Poljšakica, Rebula, Malvasia d´Istria
White
classic
Golden orange in color, with aromas of lemons, chamomile and smoke. Dry, tannic, fresh in the mouth — with a long aftertaste, shaped by the marly soil of the Vipava Valley. Produced by maceration and spontaneous fermentation, matured in oak and acacia barrels. Unfiltered.
cabernet sauvignon, merlot
Red Classic
The wine is an intense ruby red color. The flower is youthful, red fruit, black pepper. In the mouth, dry, high acidity, medium body, lower tannins, lively.
Malvasia, Welschriesling
Amfora
The wine is golden yellow in color with shades of amber. The flower is ripe, fine and varied. Full-bodied with notes of vanilla and caramel. We detect pleasant, fine notes of maturation in wood. Very tasty, slightly tannic and long.
Food pairing: It goes well with fatty, spicy grilled ribs, lamb, and goat.
KRAPEŽ WINES
Stories from our farm
Read more about how we approach vine growing and production — from land to wine. We have a century of tradition behind us, and each vintage is a new one ahead of us.
Since 2020, we have been cultivating all vineyards according to organic guidelines. We received the organic farm certificate in 2023. No synthetic agents. No chemical fertilizers.
Our philosophy is simple: we let nature do the work. No added yeasts, no filtration, no adjustments — just grapes, soil and time.

Krapež Wines
Discover the story of Krapež wines through glimpses from the vineyard, the cellar, and the glass.
Wine is born in the vineyard — we just preserve it in the cellar. This is a belief that has been lived by Krapež for four generations. Every decision in the vineyard and cellar is dictated by two questions: what the vine needs and what the nature of this vintage demands.
